Time and Provenance - The relevance of jewellery in modern times.

I've been thinking about this a lot recently, because I'm trying to understand why I have such a passion for designing jewellery. It goes beyond fashion and commerce.  In a different life, perhaps I would design software, furniture, flower arrangements. I could be a graphic artist, a painter (though colour baffles me sometimes), or an architect. Why jewellery? On the surface, jewellery seems superfluous. No-one NEEDS jewellery.  Or do we? So yeah. Facebook is a crazy thing. I practised a form of full contact martial arts, and I watch the sport at the highest level with so much admiration for those at the top of their game.
